Generally turai is made in a curry and not a sukhi (dry) sabzi. Here i am sharing a sukhi turai ki sabzi. I have used groundnut powder in it.
Ingredients
250 gm Turai (ridge Gaurd)
1/2 tsp jeera (Cumin) seeds
1/2 tsp Haldi (Turmeric) powder
1/2 tsp Dhaniya (Corainder) powder
1/2 tsp Red Chilly powder
2 tsp Coursely grounded groundnut powder
1 tbsp Oil
Salt to taste
Fresh corainder leaves for garnishing.
Method
1. Cut the Turai into finger chips sized pieces.
2. Now in a pan take some oil and put the jeera.
3. Now add the torai pieces and sautee in oil till its half cooked and all the water is absorbed.
4. Once the water is absorbed add all the masalas along with the groundnut powder and mix well.
5. Cook for another 3-4 min till the turai is fully cooked.
6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
