Bafla (Steamed) Bati

Whenever we think of batis, the picture of batis made in a tandoor and dipped in ghee comes into our mind. Well this recipe doesn't uses any tandoor or is dipped in ghee.
I have made this batis by boiling it first and then deep frying. Very easy to make and tastes awesome.

Ingredients

2 cup Wheat flour
2 tbsp Oil/ghee (for mohan)
2 tsp Ajwain (Carom seeds)
salt as per taste
Oil for frying

Method

1. Add the salt, ajwain and oil in the flour and knead it into a dough (like the one for puri)
2. Make medium size flat balls and keep aside.
3. Now take a vessel and boil plenty water in it. Once the water boils add the bati balls and boil for 7-8 min.
4. Once the batis start floating, remove them in a strainer to drain  the water.
5. When the water is drained away, take the batis and cut them in two halves.
6. Now in a pan take some oil for frying and fry the batis till golden brown.
7. Your batis are ready and can be had with either some chutneys or even kadhi/dal.
