'Health is wealth' is the mantra that we have been hearing from our ancient times. You are as good as your health is. If you are not feeling good from within, you may not be able to perform good in whatever you do. Hence it is very important that you give proper attention to your health.
In today's time, with such a hectic lifestyle and work pressures, i know it is very difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Everyone complaints about lack of time to exercise or engage in some physical activity. We all are constantly looking for a short cut that will do magic to our body.
Well for me too, the health of my family is very important for me. I constantly think what can i do so that my family is away from sickness and lead a healthy life. I try to give a balanced diet to my family by adding healthy food items. I add lot of protein rich food like dals, paneer, sprouts in our diet. I also encourage them to have lot of water during the day so that they keep hydrated through out the day.
The other important thing that i try to add in my family's lifestyle is lot of physical activities. I myself engage into some yoga every day in the morning and ask my husband to go for some walk. Also i take my little kid to the park every evening and let him play for at least one hour. One hour of playing outdoors gives him lot of physical exercise. Also i always park my car to the farthest parking spot so that i get to walk.
The other important thing that i have done is cutting down the sugar intake in our daily diet. I switched out daily morning tea with green tea and add Dabur Honey in it instead of sugar. Not only tea i try to use Dabur Honey as a substitute to sugar wherever I can as it is very healthy and has very low calories as compared to sugar. My kid loves its taste too.
For good health it is very important to manage ones weight. I know people who do lot of weird things like crash diet and think its going to make them slim and trim with a magic. Well i too have done that in past but then i realized that is not at all good for the overall body. It doesn't provide all the nutrition we our body needs. It may seem that we have lost weight but we loose lot of things from within our body also mainly our strength and stamina. Such diets really make our body very weak.
Hence now I have realized that the mantra to loose weight and have a healthy lifestyle is to eat well but take care of eating only nutritious things and avoid taking junk food and also engage into some physical exercise everyday.
