Reliving bachpan with my kids bachpan...!!

6:06 AM | Publish by Apurva

‘Koi lautade mere bachpan ke din…!’ I am sure every one of us must have asked this to God. Bachpan ke din are the most precious days in anyone’s life. Nothing can be as pure and serene than the childhood days. But have you ever thought why your childhood days are so memorable for you..? Well it is only because your parents had made them so beautiful for you.

Now when I am a parent, I always try that even for my kid his bachpan ke din should be as beautiful and memorable as mine. I try to to motivate him to think creative, explore new things and encourage him in whatever he wants to do (obviously things that are not harmful to him or anyone else).

Kids nowadays are very smart and have lot of exposure. Imagine my kiddo when he was 2 years old was able to operate my mobile and play his rhymes on youtube..!! They have a very good grasping capacity and can learn things very quick. The facilities that they have today like mobile, computers, internet, learning games and what not were never there during our childhood.

When I was a child I could remember my mom playing nursery rhymes cassette in a tape-recorder. But now there are so many colourful animated videos available on the youtube for them. They can see the videos and relate to the rhyme and learn them quickly. When he listens to these rhymes I feel as if I have returned to my childhood days as I too watch those videos with him and recite them loud with him with actions. And when my little kiddo tells me that I am not doing it correctly and a particular action has to be done like this it feels as if a complete reversal of role play. We both have such a lovely time together while watching these videos for kids.

There are times when my kid makes us a story with the characters from his nursery rhymes and ask me and my husband to play a role from his story. We both enjoy these moments so much and act childlike with our kid.

Encouraging kids for all such things are like ‘Khuljaye bachpan’ for them. Let them explore their creativity and participate with them. I am sure you too will feel as if your bachpan ke din have returned back. So take this opportunity and relive your bachpan with the bachpan of your kid..!!
