As a Man Thinketh- Impact of thoughts on our life

8:45 AM | Publish by Apurva

People often say, believe in yourself. I say, believe on your thoughts/dreams/aspirations. When you believe that what you have thought for yourself is possible and at any cost you want to fulfill your thoughts/dream/aspiration, the impact is that you would leave no stone unturned to accomplish your dreams/aspirations. Impacts of your thoughts are deep. They build your character, your life and impact everyone around you. If your thoughts are constructive, you will always inspire people and if your thoughts are destructive then you will always be left alone by your peers, well-wishers, family etc. It would be like fighting your own battle where the end result is loss only.

In childhood, when somebody asks, what you want to become, we generally get to hear, that I want to become doctor, engineer, actor, actress, CA, musician etc. and most of us eventually become what we want. Why? Because you become what you think of, because what you think of drives you to achieve your goals.

Then why few people fail? They don’t stick to their thoughts, their thoughts change with time. Many external and personal factors impact our thoughts, like, wife, our parents, neighbors, peers, friends, relatives, changing trends in the society, economy, your change in interest etc.

There is nothing more powerful than your thoughts, the more focused your thoughts and the more focused your energies are. But at the same time the most fragile and vulnerable thing is also your thoughts, as these get influenced very quickly either by yourself or by some external factors mentioned above. So the person who is in complete control of his of her thoughts are the ones who achieve the maximum in their life. This is the impact of your thoughts. People are always known about the thoughts they acted and the behaviors they exhibit which again is driven by their thoughts. People never forget the thought leaders. All the scientists, top management gurus, CEOs, COOs, entrepreneurs, freedom fighter are/were thought leaders. Our economy is driven by thought leaders.

What other fine example can I give than saying the even our freedom is the result of the great freedom fighters which were all thought leaders. Biggest example being Gandhiji (Father of your Nation). It was his thought leadership which talks about no violence and marched the British out of our country. If I have to pick up examples of thought leaders in industry sector, then Dhirubhai Ambani, Tatas, Birlas, are all the thought leaders.

All the progress which the media has made or digital media has done is due to thought leadership of people. Form Gmail to Twitter and Vividh Bharthi to Red FM, from DD to Colors are all results of thought leaders and entrepreneurs. That’s the impact of our thoughts. That is why I firmly believe, you become what you think and hence the statement stand “As a Man Thinketh”.

This blog post is inspired by the blogging marathon hosted on IndiBlogger for the launch of the #Fantastico Zica from Tata Motors. You can apply for a test drive of the hatchback Zica today.
