Making your kid eat healthy food is the most difficult task for very mom. So what should we do to provide nutritious food for our kids. Obviously we have to think of some fantastico ideas so as to provide healthy and tasty food to our little ones.
Well my kid is four years old and a very fussy eater. He doesn't eat all the food items that we make at our home. He doesn't even like to eat fruits or even drink fruit juices. For me as a mom, i have to continuously think that now what should i give him to eat so as to make the food look fantastico to him.
One thing i make sure for my kid is that i give in one glass of milk three times a day. Once in the morning, then in the evening and lastly before sleeping. In the milk itself, i try to add different things like, horlicks, dry fruits powder, haldi or sometimes some fruits like banana or apples.
One thing is good about my kid is that he loves rotis. Whenever he is hungry he ask me for a roti. So what i do it make different kinds of rotis for him. I have kept all kind of flour in my kitchen. Wheat flour, Jowar, Rice, Bajra, Nachani (Ragi) etc. So what i do is, make rotis by all these flours to make the rotis interesting and nutritious for him. Also since he is very fussy about vegetables, i mix the crushed vegetables in the flour itself. So the rotis become a wholesome meal for him. Also i make different kids of parathas for him which he loves the most. One more ingredient that i keep with me is the protein rich paneer (cottage cheese). I also sometimes mix paneer in the roti flour to make the rotis more nutritious.
More think that i do is make different kind of porridge and khichadi. I make porridge with oats, broken wheat or daliya, bajra etc. To the porridge i try to add different vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, beans, peas, beetroots etc. This makes the porridge healthy and tasty for him. I also make khichadi with different dals for him. He loves this kind of preparations as he is doesn't has to chew it much.
Now in order to make him eat fruits, i try to make different pancakes for him. I make both sweet and salty kind of pancakes. Sweet pancakes with different flours like wheat, ragi, or maida. I add the fruit pulps to these pancakes in order to provide him nutrition from fruits. To make it more interesting for him i just add a little chocolate syrup as a topping. He just loves these pancakes and eat them very lovingly. The salty pancakes i make from different dal batters. They are also called Chilas in some part of the country.
Hence by using some fantastico ideas, i try to provide all the nutrition to my kid by giving him all the necessary food items in different kinds of food items.
