Year 2015 was a great year for the Bollywood lovers. There
were some fantastico movies released during this year. Some were the mainstream
commercial masala movies while there were also some good offbeat movies. This
is my pick of some of the fantastico movies of the year 2015
Bajrangi Bhaijan
Well, I am a Salman Khan fan. So this movie has to top my
list. It was a very sweet and emotional movie. Salman has played the role of
Bajrangi so beautifully that even a non Salman fan can fall in love with him.
But the other highlight of the movie was Harshali, the little girl who stole
away everyone’s heart.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
This is again only for Salman. Some people may have not like
this movie as they found it too over the top. But it was a Barjatia movie and
so it had to full of emotions, gran sets, songs, dances, melodrama etc. Anyways
if you are a Salman fan I sure you would have loved the Prem also.
Bajirao Mastani
This has become one of my all time favourite movie. Grand
sets, dialogues, and performance, this movie has nailed it in each and every
department. Historic movie can be so good, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has shown us.
Baby
I have fallen in love with Akshay Kumar again in this movie.
Great story, great direction and what a great performance by each and every
cast. It takes patriotism to the next level. The climax was one of the best
shoot climaxes of recent times. My heart had almost skipped a beat while
watching the climax. Overall, must watch movie for all the movie lovers.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
I had great expectations from this movie as I had loved the
first part very much. And it has lived upto my expectation, in fact I found it
better than the first part. Kangna Ranaut is one of the best actress of our
times. She has portrayed both the characters in the movie so well. And R. Madhavan
as usual is so adorable. All and all a very entertaining movie.
Piku
This was a kind of offbeat cinema. A very simple subject of
a daughter taking care of her old father who has a great bowel problem. This movie
has made the potty talks famous. But it also had a great message which still
lets me think whose point of view I should take the side. Is it the father who
expects his daughter to take care of him sacrificing her own happiness in life
or is it the daughter who is trying to perform her duty as a daughter and realizing
that she has lost a lot of good time in her life.
Bahuballi
Well I am not a South Indian cinema fan, especially the ones
which are dubbed in hindi. But Bahuballi is the one movie which I liked very
much for its story, sets and effects. All the entire India, I too am eager to
know that why did Kattappa killed Bahuballi. Hope the 2 part comes soon and answers
this question.
