Food is one of the most important part of life. We live to eat and we eat to live. Our tongue keeps on craving for good and tasty food. Actually the food we eat, drives our mood throughout the day. But this craving for the good and tasty food lead us to eat junk food. Junk food naturally are tastier than the healthy food, and that is why we tend to eat junk food more. But this junk food causes lot of negative impact on our body that we do not realize.

Let us look at some of the negative impacts of junk food on our body.

Firstly, junk food are mostly deep fried food items like samosa, kachori, pakoras etc. Deep fried food items are very high in calories as they are cooked in lot of oil. Especially the road side stalls or the restaurants use the same oil for frying number of times. As we know that when the oil is heated to its boiling point, it changes its property. Harmful toxins get generated in the oil and it becomes carcinogenic. And if the same oil is used again and again, we can imagine how dangerous it is to our body. This oil leaves the traces of toxins in our body which impact our body in long term.

To make the junk food tastier, people use lot of oil and butter in its preparation. For example the pav bhaji, which is cooked in lot of butter. The chaats which are again made with deep fried tikkis, papdis, sev etc. Such junk foods are very high in calories and very low in nutrition. So if the consumption of junk food keeps on increasing, our body will be derived of essential nutrients which results in poor health. Another major impact of such high calorie food is the ever increasing waistline. Once the person catches the weight gaining tendency, the body can attract lot of other diseases like diabetes, heart disorder etc.

Another impact of the junk food is on our digestive system. As these food are very oily and contains various toxins, it impact our digestive organs. A person consuming such food on regular basis can generate the acidity condition, and suffer from problems like constipation, hemorrhoids etc.

Our body to function properly, need all the nutrients like vitamins, proteins, minerals etc. in proper quantity. But the junk food lacks all these but is high on fats and carbohydrates. So if a person is consuming this kind of food more often, the body will be derived of its fuel and will become more fatigued and weak. This impact on the body, will lead to various other diseases.

Thus, now we know the adverse impact of the junk food on our health and body. So try to avoid such kind of junk food and prefer healthy home cooked food. Once in while it is fine to have it but do watch out the quantity and do not forget to burn out those extra calories by running an extra mile. Also instead of having it outside, try to prepare all those craving food at home in a healthy manner.
